New York Giants place David Sills on...

The New York Giants placed wide receiver David Sills on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, indicating he has either tested positive for the virus or has come into contact with someone who has. Sills is the first member of the Giants to be placed on that list.

Clubs are not allowed to disclose whether a player has tested positive or is quarantining due to close contact with someone who has.

Meanwhile, the Giants also placed quarterback Alex Tanney on the non-football illness list and rookie linebacker Tae Crowder, Mr. Irrelevant, on the non-football injury list.

Both Tanney and Crowder will still count toward the Giants’ 90-man roster.

Finally, the team claimed defensive back Shakial Taylor off of waivers from the Denver Broncos.

Taylor was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft, but he was waived/injured as a part of final cuts after suffering a concussion.

The Kansas product agreed to an injury settlement and was later signed back with the Colts in Week 5. He appeared in five games, recording seven tackles and one pass defensed before again being waived in November.

Taylor was claimed by the Broncos, who then waived him again earlier this week.
